The objective of this module is to help you gain and maintain momentum after you decide to finally take action!

Welcome to Module 7!
"Always work hard. Intensity clarifies. It creates not only momentum but also the pressure you need to feel either friction or fulfillment. - Marcus Buckingham, author, speaker, consultant
Lessons and Activities
In this module you will:
Learn about different types of motivation
Identify clear steps to maintain momentum when working on a big project
Lesson One: Types of Motivation
Intrinsic Motivation
- Doing something that is personally rewarding to you
Ex. Working on something because you're fascinated by a topic, doing
something you find fulfilling, producing something you find interesting with a
purpose of autonomy or mastery
Extrinsic Motivation
- Doing something to earn a reward or avoid punishment
Ex. Studying for a good grade, starting a business with a central goal of
making money, working on a project for compensation or reward of some
kind outside of a passion or interest in the subject matter
Lesson Two: Steps to Maintain Momentum
Make a master to-do list
Delegate, Outsource, Automate! Just make the most of your time!
Find tangible ways to hold yourself accountable (this might include an "accountability buddy" or someone you trust to remind you of why you started and what you have to do next).
Eliminate distractions and eliminate unimportant tasks
Concentrate your time and energy on high-priority tasks and other easy tasks first
Evaluate how these steps feel for you and if they help accentuate your existing passion and motivation overall, adjust steps accordingly!
